When large model structures with numerous measures from multiple fact tables are presented, it often becomes convenient to filter dimensions, hierarchies and measures into their related groupings based on the measure groups that they belong to. The measure group filter provides a simple technique for hiding or showing only those measures and dimensions that are directly related to each other.
The filter can be accessed from the Dimensions panel and the Measures panel. Once measure groups are hidden, all non-related items in the Dimensions and Measures trees are removed from view.
